About UNIC

The Story of UNIC

Jewellery that remembers. Love that transforms.

I didn’t always dream of starting a brand.

UNIC began in a much smaller, more personal way
with a ring.

When I moved from South Korea to Ireland to study design,
everything felt unfamiliar.
The language, the light, and the quiet unfamiliarity.
But in the middle of all that… I fell in love.

It was soft, warm, and sincere,
the kind of love that makes you want to make something together.
And so, we did.
A pair of matching rings.
Nothing fancy.
Just a promise between two people.

But like many love stories, ours changed.
He left.
And for a while, I thought the story ended there.

Until one day, I sat down at my desk again
— this time, alone.

I wasn’t designing for someone else anymore.
I was designing for me.
For the version of myself that had grown through the ache.
For the girl who came to Ireland with big feelings and no map.
And for the woman she was becoming.

Every piece I made after that carried something:
a chapter, a goodbye, a breakthrough, a quiet kind of healing.
I started to realise…
Jewellery could hold emotion, not just style.
It could honour the parts of love we keep, even when people go.

Years passed.
And then, quietly, love returned,
this time in a form that didn’t want to own or change me.
He simply said, “Keep creating.”
And I did.

That was the beginning of UNIC.
Not just a brand,
but a collection of feelings,
captured in metal and form.

Rooted in the bold,
expressive energy of K-POP which I’ve always loved,
but softened by lived experience.
A style that dares to feel.
To remember.
To grow.

Each design is a gentle reminder that
every relationship, even the ones that break,
all shapes who we are.
Every chapter deserves something beautiful to mark it.

UNIC is for those who’ve loved bravely.
Lost deeply.
And still choose to wear their story
— not as a wound, but as art.

Because sometimes, the most beautiful ring
is the one you gave yourself.
